Curtis Robinson, MD
Dr. Robinson takes pride in leading a team of physicians and mid-level practitioners in providing top-notch primary care through Panoramic Medicine. Outside of the practice, he was one of the founders of the Marin City Health and Wellness Center and served on a variety of boards including the Marin County Office of Education, Marin Community Foundation, and Meritage Medical Network. Doctor Robinson has also won several awards including Marin County's MLK Humanitarian Award, Pacific Sun’s Best Family Physician in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2023, and Best General Practitioner by the Marin IJ in 2018. In his free time Dr. Robinson enjoys eating ice cream, backpacking in the Sierra Nevadas, skiing, and running the Dipsea.
Joshua Pepper, MD
Dr. Joshua Pepper practices family medicine with a focus on addiction, palliative care, office-based procedures, and reproductive health. As the medical director, he supports our clinicians and staff, and helps improve standards of safety and quality in the clinic. His experience as a hospitalist helps the team provide comprehensive care that bridges the gap between outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Pepper is committed to medical education, serving as the community preceptor for a local student-run clinic and leading courses on finding meaning in medicine. Josh is a graduate of UCSF School of Medicine and UCSF Family and Community Medicine Residency Program, and holds a Master's degree from the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Pepper enjoys local hikes, backpacking in the Sierras, playing guitar and mandolin, gardening, and spending time with his friends and family.
Lauren Bence, MD
Dr. Lauren Bence is originally from the east coast, and grew up in Teaneck, NJ. She graduated from Cornell University in 2003 with a BS in Biology and Society. She then attended SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, earning her MD in 2009. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago in 2012 and worked in an emergency setting in Chicago for six years. After moving to the Bay Area in 2019, Dr. Bence took a break from clinical medicine to focus on her three young children — in particular her son who requires complex medical care. During that time, she advised on medical travel repatriation and evacuations as a consultant. Lauren joined Panoramic Medicine in February of 2023 and is thrilled to be back providing patient care. Outside of work, she loves trail running, volunteering with Dedication to Special Education, and tending to her edible garden.
Diana Saylor, PA
Diana Saylor, PA, graduated from Yale University School of Medicine's Physician Associate program in 1983. She has worked in family practice and women's health for over 38 years, beginning her career with the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and later working for the American Refugee Committee in Thailand. After moving back to the United States, she practiced family medicine in North Carolina and Arizona before settling down in Northern California. Diana joined the Panoramic Medicine family in July of 2008. She lives in Marin with her husband and enjoys hiking and singing in her choir.
Julie Jones, NP
Julie Jones, NP, became interested in healthcare after working in clinical research at UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center. She decided to pursue nursing and graduated from UCSF Nursing School in 2012 with a focus in gerontology, or the study of old age. Her family settled down in Marin in 2016. Two years later, she joined the team at Panoramic Medicine in August of 2018. She keeps busy with her three children, but when she does have spare time she enjoys baking, going on hikes, biking, and playing the piano.
Tana Summers, PA
Tana Summers, PA is originally from Portland, Oregon. She earned a BS from Santa Clara University and a MS from Baylor College of Medicine, where she completed her Physician Assistant training in 2001. She then worked with underserved patients at the Mexico border as part of a medical Spanish immersion program, and then spent the first 6 years of her career working among underserved Latino communities in general Pediatrics and Family & Internal Medicine. Tana joined Panoramic Medicine in 2010 and continues offering her services on a part-time basis. Additionally, Tana began working at Samuel Merritt University in the PA school as an adjunct faculty in the fall of 2005, and became a principal member of the PA faculty in 2008. She was the Academic Coordinator from 2008 through 2015, when she became the Assistant Program Director. Tana Summers, PA is the current Chairperson of the Samuel Merritt Physician Assistant Program.
Thomas Brookshire, PA
After starting his career working as a high school teacher on Guam, Tom Brookshire, PA, went back to school, attending the Yale Physician Associate program in 1983, and then the UNC-CH School of Public Health. He has worked as a PA in a number of primary care practices, including remote Native American village clinics, Southeast Asian refugee camps, a university health center, Kaiser, Planned Parenthood, Tribal and Indian Health Service, public health department clinics, a pediatric practice, and family practice clinics in Phoenix and the Central Valley of California. He has also served as a healthcare administrator, researcher, public health advisor, and professor. He lives in Marin with his wife and enjoys exploring the flora, fauna, and wild places of Northern California and beyond.
Angela Mendoza, MD
Dr. Angela Mendoza grew up around the kitchen table of a multicultural home in Petaluma, CA, where she learned early on that food was the universal language of love and care. She studied the intersections of biology and agriculture, nutrition and environmental sciences at the College of Creative Studies at UCSB, and had a short but rewarding career as a pastry chef in Sonoma County. Her passions for food and community health were a natural pivot to family medicine. She is a graduate of the UCSF School of Medicine and the Lifelong Family Residency Program. Her professional interests include group primary and prenatal care, breastfeeding medicine and integrative medicine. She and her partner, Max, enjoy watching the seasons change at home in Truckee, CA with their young son, Isador, and senior Great Dane, Felix.
